One of the main shrines of Muslims - the Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain is situated near the town of Osh in Kyrgyzstan.

In the mountain there are seven caves, the entrances of which are framed by grottoes. The most famous and popular among the pilgrims are the caves "Chakka Tamar" and "Tepeunkur". According to ancient beliefs, the cave "Chakka Tamar" has unique healing properties. The whole mountain range skirts the sacred water canals Jupas-arik and Jannat-arik, on which the medieval water-lifting wheels are still working. There is also a mosque, "Ravat-Abdullahana", which, according to some reports, was built in the 16th century and the Khujra building ("Babur's house").

Legends connect the foundation of the city with King Solomon (Suleiman) and Alexander the Great. For the first time, the city of Osh is mentioned in Arabic sources of the 9th century.
In those days, Mount Sulaiman-Too served as a guide for travelers who considered it sacred. This ancient monument of art and history is known since time immemorial. Until the 16th century, the mountain was called Bara Kukh, but later it was renamed Takhty-Suleiman, which means "the throne of Solomon."

Today, the Sulaiman-Too mountain is the last hope for many of its visitors. Most of them are women. Someone asks Sulaiman-Too for well-being for the family, someone - for health, someone - for procreation. People believe in the magical properties of the ancient sanctuary.
