Issyk-Ata - is a resort in Issyk-Ata gorge. Issyk-Ata is famous for its thermal springs, is open all the year round. Starting from the tenth century, the valley became a place of pilgrimage to the healing springs, the proof is a big stone with Tibetan inscriptions and an image of Buddha in a "lotus" pose. Local residents express their gratitude for healing springs by touching the large boulder with the image of Buddha. Stone rests on the bottom of the Issyk-Ata gorge. Tibetan writing on the front of the stone and sculpture of an eagle on it are dated to the tenth century. Here laid climbing routes on the “Kamennye Idoly” (Stone Idols) mountain pass, Protsenko Glacier, Zabirova Glacier and mount Korona (Crown¬).
