Kegety Gorge is located 75 km from Bishkek on the northern slopes of the Kyrgyz ridge and has a length of about 30 km. At the bottom of the gorge flows the river of the same name, which has many tributaries. The largest of them is the right tributary named Kel-Tor, which forms a separate very beautiful valley, in the upper reaches of which there is a lake with turquoise water.

 The lake is situated at an altitude of 2725 m and is the most attractive destination to visit. The river that flows from the lake goes into the ground, in a goaf, which was formed here many hundreds of years ago and coming out of the ground in the forest zone, forming a beautiful cascade of crystal-clear water. The trail to the lake goes first along the right slope of the gorge, overgrown with spruce forest and thickets of rowan, honeysuckle, dog-rose and barberry, which were later replaced by juniper thickets. Those, in turn, go even higher in the alpine meadows.

3 kilometers above the lake there are large glaciers and moraines Kel-Tor and Anastasia, clearly visible from the lake. Through passes located here you can get to the neighboring gorge Tuyuk Shamsinsky.

УGorge Kegety more sloping than the Kel-Tor and surrounded by steep slopes. In 5-6 km from the forest to the left into the river Kegety flows a small stream and 100 meters from the road it forms a beautiful 20 meter high waterfall. Waterfall falls from limestone terrace and is located close to the road that runs through the valley, which is convenient for tourists. Above, the road for 10 kilometers periodically washed off by the mudflow. The unique picture of the destructive power of nature is simply mesmerizing. Here is the second largest tributary of the river Kegety - Al-Djailoo, located 11 km from the forest. Gorge Al-Djailoo forms a beautiful tract, known for its now-abandoned mines.
