Semyonovskoe gorge is situated on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, 40 km from the resort of Cholpon-Ata. It is one of the most beautiful places in Issyk-Kul region. Its length is about 35 km. At the bottom of the gorge runs the Ak-Suu river - rough mountain river with pure glacier water. Slopes of the gorge are covered with fir trees. In summer and spring clean air is filled with wonderful smell of alpine herbs.

Semenov Gorge is one of the main attractions of Kyrgyzstan, it is one of the most recommended excursions for those who’s visiting Issyk-Kul. In summer yurts are often settled, where everyone can taste the delicious dishes of the Kyrgyz national cuisine – mare’s milk (kumys) and beshbarmak. For outdoor enthusiasts rides through the gorge.

Grigoriev and Semenov Gorge have a common road that connects them.

The abandoned "Chernobyl" wellness center is currently located in the Semenov Gorge. Sometimes athletes who come to Kyrgyzstan, stop here for a few days to train and live in harsher conditions (thin air and mountainous terrain).
