The Trinity Orthodox Church is located in the center of the city of Karakol. The church was built in 1894-1895 on the site of the five-domed brick church destroyed by the earthquake. During the construction the surviving foundation was used. The Church retains the general principle of building ancient Russian six-barrel temples.
In the church are stored the relics of three - Prom, Tarakh and Andronicus, as well as the icon of the Tikhvin Mother of God. It was written more than 110 years ago in Greek Athens especially for Central Asia and is considered sacred and miraculous.
